"We, the undersigned, members of the Brandeis University Undergraduate Student Union, wish to call attention to the dangers to global stability posed by Israel's illegal and inhumanitarian bombing of the state of Lebanon. The Israeli military's ongoing pummeling of the socio-economic infrastructure of Lebanon, not to mention the inhumane landscapes of Bint Jbeil, Qana and Southern Beirut, demonstrates the seriousness of the situation and the unfitness of the Israeli government for the primary role in the region that it has so far assumed. We urge our elected leadership to act appropriately and swiftly in order to ensure that Israel does not continue to destabilise the Middle East."
